Last Nov. 12, 2012 (Monday), I had my first assessment with Slimmers World. When I came to the gym, I was asked by Ms. Gigi to fill up a form that asks for my Medical History. Afterwards, their in house doctor did a quick check up on me if my body can tolerate the exercise program that they will be giving me. Next step is I was asked to photographed for my ID which will be given to me in a week's time.
Last Step...
The last step was the PT's assessment. The PT assigned took my weight then my vital stats. Then he did the stress test which tested my flexibility and endurance level. Before we started with the flexibility test, he asked me to do the stretching which I could easily follow through the pictures that they have on the stretching area and counted to 15 for every body part stretched. The next part is I was asked to do the sit and reach and he measured how much is the furthest that I could reach. So far it was good. Next was he asked me to reach arms from the back. It was fair. There were other stretching position that he asked me to do. Then he gave me 1 minute to do as many sit-up as I can. Amazingly, I was able to do 80 sit-ups. Then he gave me another minute to do as many half push-ups. This is where I struggled, I was only able to do 43 and not in full form for the last 13 counts. Then the last test was to check my heart rate before I do the cardio workout. He checked on my pulse rate and its 103 counts. Which is a little higher than the normal rate of 60-80 counts. Then he gave me 3 minutes to do go up and down on the stepper without stopping. After the step test he counted my pulse rate again and it was 176 counts. Which is pretty normal. After a minute of resting, he counted my pulse rate. It went down to 116 counts. My recovery is pretty normal. The last step was to do the Cardio Workout for my remaining 20 minutes. He was supposed to assign me on the Treadmill but I asked him if I could do the Cross Trainer instead. I wasn't really a fan of Treadmill. At the end of my session, Ms. Gigi asked me how did I find the workout. I told her that it was refreshing. It feels good.
Good night rest...
That night I was able to sleep soundly because I got so tired after the workout. I feel rejuvenated the next day. I can't wait for my next workout. =)
Hi,
ReplyDeleteHow's the program coming along?
Is getting the Biometrics Intensive Program worth getting?
Hi Hero,
ReplyDeleteAfter 1 month of doing the Program I've lost 7 pounds. One long term benefit that I've gained from the experience is the Meal Plan keeps me always full and so far I've stopped craving for junk food. The Personal Trainers are very good in terms of giving effective workouts because the workout makes me sweat a lot. The next day I have an aching body due to the workout which for me I find it okay because that is indication that the muscles were challenged. The Body Forme Treatment really did help in boosting my metabolism. Even if I eat a little over my budget, I still lose weight. I'd highly recommend this program because its worth every penny that I've invested on.
